Guest guest
Hi Katie: Has our daughter tried pasta made from spelt? Gayle cozycate Wed, 28 Mar 2007 6:44 PM corn based pasta A few days ago someone was talking about pasta made with corn. I meant to keep that and learn more about it, but I can't find it. Will whoever it was please get ahold of me. My daughter has 4 kids. One is allergic to rice, another to wheat and a third to kumuit, so she can never serve pasta that everyone can eat. Since the two younger ones are only 2 1/2 and 4 1/2, they want whatever is serves to anyone, even if they are allergic to it. One is allergic to cows milk, one allergic to soy and one alergic to almonds so no almond milk. My poor daughter strugles to find things everyone can eat. Fortunately #4 is an infant and so far only shows allergies to what her mother eats. Katie ______________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Actually, spelt is an ancient variety of wheat, so contains gluton and wheat proteins. Thanks for trying, though. I appreciate the input. Katie glpveg4life wrote: Hi Katie: Has our daughter tried pasta made from spelt? Guest guest
I don't know the name but I will look for you, Whole Foods has a special section set up with pasta made from corn, spelt, etc. I can try to get the link off the box next time I'm there.
