Guest guest
I'm in Orange County, CA. We usually shop at Albertson's because it's right here and it's always where we've shopped. However, the checkers may go on strike soon, so to support them we won't shop at Albertson's, Ralphs, or Vons. We've been meaning to start shopping at Trader Joe's, so this strike will be the motivation we've been needing. There are also a lot of Whole Foods Markets and other such stores in our area, but they tend to be outrageously expensive! Guest guest
Suburb of Boston. Mostly Shaws with occasional trips to Stop & Shop, Wild Harvest, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe. I went really wild a couple of weeks ago and went to Penzeys for epazote, which I think is helping to reduce gas when I remember to use it. :-) I'm exploring local Asian markets every so often in the search for paneer and anything else that grabs me. I'm a picky eater, so I'm hard to grab. -ginger > Where is everyone from and where do you buy most of > your food??
Guest guest
We are now in Elberton GA...moved here last year from the Erie PA area. Food shopping situation remains the same - drive 40 miles to a decent grocery store. There's an Earthfare in Athens; in the other direction I can go to Earth Fare and Whole Foods. Some of the more local markets are getting organics too. Looking forward to the farmer's markets and my own garden. I do miss Wegman's -- but not my snow shovel! Guest guest
Cyndy, I'm glad that I'm not missing something then! I live in GA too and usually shop at Kroger or Publics. I also tend to get fruit from Samsclub because it's always better there than at a regular grocery store. I haven't been able to find much that is organic, but I did run across some organic carrots once, and wow were they good! There is definitely a difference between carrots that are and are not organic. -Alyssa On Behalf Of moonspritetopaz Friday, April 06, 2007 6:29 AM Re: Question??? Guest guest
Alyssa, Sam's Club is where I buy a lot of fresh food too and cheese. The Spring Mix by Paul Newman is organic and sometimes they have organic apples and spinach too. Carrots almost always. I but my romaine and spring mix lettuce, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, pineapple, onions, spinach, avocado's, bananas, apples, potatoes, carrots, celery, Naked Juice and probably more than I am not remembering........ Wal-marts and TArgets are carrying a lot more organic fresh, canned and packaged products. - Alyssa Friday, April 06, 2007 11:56 AM RE: Re: Question??? .
