Sometimes I open the tofu package, drain off the water

and stand at the sink and eat it plain.

That's even less than 2 minutes..LOL

You get up every morning

From your alarm clock's warning

Take the 8:15 into the city

There's a whistle up above

And people pushin', people shovin'

And the girls who try to look pretty

And if your train's on time

You can get to work by nine

And start your slaving job to get your pay

The thing that my son and I have found that we like best is to get a block

of tofu, press it and then cut it in bite sized cubes. I sprinkle them with

seasoned salt, then put them on a baking sheet sprayed with nonfat cooking

spray and bake in a 375 degree oven for about 20 to 30 minutes. It comes

fairly close to the crispy tofu you get in a Chinese restaurant. Then while

it's cooking I'll stir-fry some veggies and at the last minute toss the

" fried " tofu in with it, add a little soy sauce to it and a dash of chili

oil and it's really good that way. I've come up with lots of different ways

to recreate traditional recipes (even veggie ones) as low to non-fat because

I have high cholesterol and triglycerides and can't take the cholesterol

meds due to a bad bout of that rhabdomyalisis - that rare side effect of

statins that causes muscle weakness and all.

I love it raw and plain like that. Horseradish is

also good on it. We know how to make a quick meal,

don't we Bryan?
