I hope this isn't off topic. I'm wondering if anybody has a favorite

electric juicer/milkshake maker contraption that they can recommend.

I'd love to have a Vitamix or something, if I ever stumble upon a

money tree. But for now, have to keep it very low-cost. I really

want to start drinking healthy juice shakes. I'd also love to find an

economical food processor or chopper type of thing.

Thanks!

Suzanne

Suzanne,

I just purchased a Hamilton Beach big mouth food processor two days ago from

Wal-Mart. It is normally $60 but was on sale for $40. So far, it seems to

work nicely. I haven't tried using the shredding/slicing disk that comes

with it yet.

I saw a Hamilton Beach blender for $29. It was not at the Wal-Mart I went to

the other day, but I'm going to check out a few others. Looks awesome. I

believe it was a Wave Station 10-speed. Hope this helps.

Try your local Goodwill/Salvation Army for juicers. I was able to pick up a

Braun for $3.99. I use it every day and really love it. I bought a yogurt

maker by Salton for $2.99. I make homemade yogurt 2-3 times a week. We

make smoothies with it every night. I bought a Black and Decker Blender

http://www.blackanddeckerappliances.com/product-14.html It was under

$40.00 at Wal-Mart. So far it's working out great. My last couple of

blenders bit the dust much quicker, so I'm happy.

I did quite a large search when I was looking for a juicer. And my choice

is Breville.

I looked closely at Juiceman, and although it was less expensive, it was

cheaply made, IMHO.

I have had my juicer for almost a year with no problems.

Champion juicers by far - had ours since 98 and used almost daily (5

days a week on average) not cheap but, then again you get what you

pay for...IMHO doc
