Raspberry-Cilantro Dressing -- e-w

 

Yield: about 1-cup

 

Betty Crocker's New Low-fat, Low-Cholesterol Cookbook - 1996

 

1 T. sugar

2 tsp. cornstarch

1/8 tsp. salt

2/3 c. water

1/3 c. raspberry-vinegar

1 T. chopped fresh cilantro

 

Mix the first 3 ingredients in 1-quart saucepan. Gradually stir in

water and vinegar. Cook stirring constantly, until mixture thickens

and boils. Boil and stir for 1 minute; remove from heat. Stir in

cilantro. Cover and refrigerate any remaining dressing.

 

2 T. dressing equals: 10 calories…0 gm fat…0 mg cholesterol…35 mg

sodium…3 gm carbohydrate…0 gm fiber…0 gm protein +++EXC: Free Food
