You certainly aren't a picture of civility yourself. " Rep-toid- grl " , " know-it-all " plus the plenty of names to others that didn't make it to the list (funny how sometimes we don't recognize our own actions). My apologies to the group for the current back and forth and lack of politeness going about. We don't mind debate in this group but when the tone gets to such a bad point and the topic deviates to these types of bickers, then it's pointless. I promise this won't happen from these two members again. Our apologies to the group. Shawn (meanie moderator)

Guest guest
Thank you Shawn. It's good to know I wasn't the only one getting annoyed with the child-like bickering going on lately. We are all vegetarians here; aren't we supposed to be more enlightened? LOL! Aimee

Ummm, no, I don’t think so. I know some pretty unenlightened vegetarians. We’re just supposed to not eat dead animals. <rant> (Sorry, but this type of thinking by ANY group, not just vegetarians, gets to me. We (generic we, any group you like) aren’t better, more enlightened, smarter, kinder or whatever than society in general. I’m not sure where that kind of thinking comes from, but I see it in my bookclubs, knitting groups, BDSM organizations, classical music teachers lists, etc etc etc. Why the need to see ourselves as somehow superior to “them”, whoever “they” may be? Different is good, but it doesn’t have to be better.) </rant> -- Sherri The media finally figured out that their " paying customers " (i.e. advertisers) don't WANT an intelligent, thoughtful audience. Guest guest
Or is anyone else getting a rough time using this site? Everytime I click on a reply , I am asked for a verify code before I can send it. So I guess I am being politely discouraged from using the site? Guest guest
Yeah, it's been doing that to me for a few weeks. Sometimes I can't figger out what the 'code' is and it just tells me I can't reply anymore until I can properly type in the code. At first there didn't seem any way to do it but they must have fixed it. Now if I don't type it in correctly, I do get a 2nd chance. I can see trying to discourage spam, but geez it's getting to be a pain!peter hurd <swpgh01 wrote: Or is anyone else getting a rough time using this site?
