Guest guest
I would just like a day without obligation - no cooking, no cleaning . . . and not just put it off for Monday! This will be my third Mother's Day - I've never gotten a card or flowers - but then, I'm a SAHM and that really is a DAILY Mother's Day present. Not having to go to work every day and instead get to stay home to interact with the guys and watch them grow, and have fun adventures as much as time and money allow us while my dh goes to a job every day that he hates. He definitely deserves the kudos on Husband's Day :0)
Guest guest
I liked my mom's lasagna, even if she did put in mushrooms that I had to pick out. (Not a mushroom lover, though I'm starting to rethink that as I approach age 50.) Oh, and waffles! I think she just used Bisquick, but there was something about them that was quite yummy. When my kids were small, we had a traditional Mother's Day gift: A NAP! Later, as they got older, we added " mom not having to cook dinner " and then " mom not having to figure out what dinner is " to the gift. Pizza delivered to the house was just fine, as long as it was not my problem and they shared. :-) Now that they are grown and out on their own, I get an email or phone call, which is enough. It is nice to be remembered. -ginger in hot, sunny Boston area

Guest guest
Always loved the mincemeat cookies Mom makes (vegetarianized recipe is in our files)-- not a meal exactly but they could be LOL! The m**t stuffing Mom made at Thanksgiving...mmmmmm (I'm still working on replicating that with Gimme Lean.) I hope to spend Mother's Day catching up with Meghan (she's on her way home right now, freshman year at college is already over!) Just lazing around and enjoying my family. ~ Cyndy
