Guest guest Posted May 11, 2007 Report Share Posted May 11, 2007 -Mary, I tried this and it is excellent. I didn't have the exact recipe but I did try all the ingredients together and they work. I agree with you the red wine vinegar makes this recipe very tasty. The sesame seed oil 'drizzle' also works. This is how I made the soup I chopped one carrot, one small onion, 1 celery stalk and crushed 3 cloves of garlic. Sauteed the veggies in a small amt. of sesame oil until they were tender .(low heat do not brown.) Added the pre-cooked split pea soup that I had made the day before. Added a pinch of sea salt and ground black pepper Added apx. 1 Tab.of red wine vinegar. Simmered until heated . Drizzled 1 Teas. of sesame seed oil on top. Yummmy !
