Guest guest
Here is L.A. a mango is a mango and a green pepper is a bell pepper unless you are talking about a chili pepper and once in a while that will confuse someone. I have never heard a bell pepper called a mango..LOL Donna --- Marilyn Daub <mcdaub wrote: > I come from Connecticut, and Mangoes were on sale > for 19 cents per pound. Guest guest
I couldn't understand it either when as a relatively new bride we set up housekeeping in Indianapolis and there was this sign in the grocery store...Mangoes...and here were green peppers. Bizarre. My mother-outof-law always called them mangoes and she was from Illinois. Luanne
Guest guest
I was born and raised in Indiana and I knew/know the difference between mangoes and green bell peppers. Every grocery store in Indiana does not label them as mangoes. I am used to seeing them labeled as bell peppers. Some people in Indiana have a southern drawl, I dont understand why. I dont have much of a drawl. I live in North Dakota now and my husband was raised in northern Minnesota and he says he can only hear a little bit of an accent when I say certain words. Just a little defense for Indiana. Hugs Cherie
