INGREDIENTS:

 

PIE CRUST (WHOLE WHEAT)

1 1/2 cups organic whole wheat flour

1 cup organic self rising flour

1/2 cup organic oatmeal; grinded

1/2 cup organic extra virgin olive oil

1 cup cold spring water

1 teaspoon vinegar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 organic brown egg large (room temp.) + 1 tablespoon water (brush

pie before baking)

 

METHOD:

In a bowl add the water, vinegar and the olive oil.

Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and the flour (1/2 cup at a time).

Work the mixture well as much as it needs to become tight.

If it requires more water and flour add in order for the dough

to become as thick as it needs.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave it for half an hour

before it is used.

Roll out with rolling pin.

Makes upper curst strips and bottom crust.

 

APPLE FILLING:

6 medium organic apples; thin slices

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

2 tablespoon organic lemon juice

2 tablespoon organic pure maple syrup or organic pure honey

1 tablespoon organic whole wheat flour

Pour thin slices apples on a flat pan, add cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon

juice,

Maple syrup and whole wheat flour, mix well.

Then fill bottom crust on baking pan, slightly brush with oil

add apples mixture cover with the rest of the crust strips.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 40-50 minutes.
