Guest guest
Hey all, I'm making a box mix corn bread to go with dinner tonight (yes, I'm turning on the oven in this heat). I had some from Main Dish Kitchen once and it was really really moist. Any suggestions on moister corn bread? Or am I just baking too long (though I do go by box suggestion). The mix calls for egg and milk. Thanks!!! Amy ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Guest guest
Oooh that sounds good! It turned out less dry, but I should have been watching better (a friend stopped by). I cooked it in my big cast iron skillet, the bottom and sides burned in the last 3 minutes, but I just took it off. At 84 degrees it was too hot to do it inside after all. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Suggest you get a toaster oven to keep the heat out of your house in the summer!!! Guest guest
if you leave the bread in the oven too long it will have a tendency to dry out akfral wrote: Hey all, I'm making a box mix corn bread to go with dinner tonight (yes, I'm turning on the oven in this heat). Guest guest
Turn the oven degree down a little bit and add a bit of melted butter to the mix. That works for me.
