Guest guest
It is still in the low 50s here, too. I would love to feel 80*. Friday will be June and I can't even get my garden outside because it gets to cold at night. I am beginning to think this summer will be even worse than last summer and that was terrible. LOL We have had a few days of 70 and even 80, but right now, I think that we are in the low 60s and rain. I am jealous of your heat!! I could start a fire in my fireplace and make dinner over that and everyone would be HAPPY!!!!!!! -sue ps...two week ends ago we even had snow in the air!!! Guest guest
Dear Katie, I will trade you weather and temperatures, sweetie. It is 89 degress right now, at 5:04pm PDT, here in Portland Oregon. It is WAY too hot!!! I still have to get dinner. I had a " rough " day caring for my 9 month old grandson. He has a cold, doesn't feel very good, and compounded by this heat, he is so very uncomfortable. Poor little guy!!! But we made it thru, and his mommy, my beloved, precious daughter, and her fellow, just stopped and picked him up a few minutes ago. So I am taking a much needed break and reading email. My Jeremy, my 29 year old son, that has Williams Syndrome, and is functional about the 4 to 8 year old level, wants me to make pizza for dinner. I think maybe I am going to nix that for today, and then later when things cool down, I will make the crust, mix up the sauce, and prepare the toppings and then early tomorrow morning, assemble the pizzas, bake them, and let them cool, then wrap them in plastic wrap and refrigerate them until tomorrow evening. Then we can heat them in the microwave, have a salad, and some warmed up vegetables or I will put veges on the pizza. I shoulda done that last night. We had vegetarian hot dogs, and homemade large french fries. I skipped the veges as I as soooo tired, and soooo hot. Well, enough of my complaining. Hope all of you have had a great day, and hope you all have an even greater evening. Sincerely, Karla Williams
Guest guest
I just got back from two weeks in Eugene. I was hoping for some nice weather, but it did not get above about 75*. 89* sounds heavenly. It isn't to hot for me. I don't get uncomfortably warm until about 100*. Katie " karfranw " <karfranw wrote: Dear Katie, I will trade you weather and temperatures, sweetie. Guest guest
A balmy 84 today, with 80-90 degrees forecast for the rest of the week, And after a solid week of rain for Memorial day weekend! Got well over 8 " in my guage here at the house - however, many areas all around me got over a foot and some places close to 2 feet! The lake is full, the wildflowers are in full bloom and our gardens are growing by inches daily! Must be the combination of growing organic and the right amount of moisture and sunshine! Just amazing how fast things grow now - then again it is almost June... We have Chard, Mizuna, Kale, 3 kinds of Lettuces, Radishes, Spinach, Cabbage, Onions, Cucumbers, Summer squash and Beans all starting to come in now, and the Tomatoes, Peppers, Okra and Chilis are right behind them...nothing quite like fresh, clean, organic veggies from your own garden! peace and blessings to all this growing season. Oh, and there is no shortage of honey bees here either! doc , Katie M <cozycate wrote: > > It is still in the low 50s here, too. I would love to feel 80*.
