Guest guest
I am fairly new to this group and am transitioning to a vegetarian lifestyle. I am beginning to taste some of the meat substitutes and need some tips. I would like to buy certain products from the grocery but would like some advice on which substitute actually taste similar to the true meat product. Like what brand and type is good for hot dogs, breakfast sausage, chicken strips, deli meats, etc... I would like to have a product that actually fools my pallet. For example, the other day I purchased the all american grilled boca burger and that was very tasty. All help will be appreciated...
Guest guest
Anything Boca tastes really good!! And if you have a Target store near you that sells food items (not all do) they sell Boca brand items for alot less than your regular grocery store. Also Smat Choice brand ground taco " beef " is great - my husband and I fooled our good friend with our tasty tacos - we told him after and her had NO IDEA it wasn't ground beef!! He said it was better than the " healthy " ground turkey he had had (real turkey - not Tofu/Turkey)... , " chikitty2007 " <chi_mota wrote: > > I am fairly new to this group and am transitioning to a vegetarian > lifestyle. Guest guest
I really like morning star products, myself. How long has it been? I can say it's been 3 weeks for me and I'm doing just great! Even had a cook out with my friends and had no problem. I'm so proud of myself. I still get teased but Not mean, just like one friend calls my veggie burgers, rabbit food burgers instead. I love em though! how about fast food places? anyone still use em? cj --- chikitty2007 <chi_mota wrote: > I am fairly new to this group and am transitioning > to a vegetarian > lifestyle. Guest guest
I go to subway sandwhiches and get the vegi sandwhich. There are probable things a vegan wouldn't eat in the honey oat bread, but I eat it happily. They will make it the way I want it and even toast the spinach so that it wilts. If I watch them closely, it is just the way I want it. Katie cj smith <vos29 wrote: I really like morning star products, myself. How long has it been? Guest guest
Burger King also has a veggie burger that is pretty good. More places should start making those! -Alyssa
