Question of the Week - June 10-17 - Veg. t-Shirt - etc..........

Time for our Question of the week..............

 

Where have you found folks T-shirt, bumper stickers,

small magnetic signs to put on your vehicle, or license plate surrounds

etc.. that had thought pervoking quotes along the lines of vegetarism,

without

being offensive and rude to those that aren't vegetarian. Please share

websites, etc.......

and some of the quotes that you found.

 

I look forward to your answers as will others........ we all have come

across interesting

things, that maybe others haven't.

great question Judy. I used to know of a website for all that great stuff but

the t-shirts didn't come in my size so I deleted them. We have a store in

Vermont that the locals call the activist shop I don't go in myself since there

is so many offensive things in the shop but when I was a teen I went and they

had a few things about animal rights, vegetarianism.

I know what you mean, a few websites I have found also have very offensive,

crude shirts with other comments on them too...... I steer clear of those also.

great question Judy. I used to know of a website for all that great stuff but

the t-shirts didn't come in my size so I deleted them. We have a store in

Vermont that the locals call the activist shop I don't go in myself since there

I do not own an automobile anymore so I cannot use bumper stickers.

A cute one I read a long time ago (on a car) said " have you rinsed

your tofu today? " I thought that was cute and non-judgmental. I

have not seen a veggie t-shirt I would wear yet. One of the

problems is that many slogans imply that if you are not a vegetarian

you are doing something wrong (killing animals, hurting the planet,

wasting resources) and while this might be true, I do not like the

judgmental attitude that goes with it and do not see it an an

effective technique to talk more folks into trying vegetarianism.

My wife's daughter sent me a bumper sticker 5-6 years ago that read " I eat tofu

and I

vote. " She worked in a health food store at the time. I liked it, put it on my

I think it's Cafe Press where they have a variety of veg messaage

items, also, the PETA website has a shop and links to other animal

/veggie friendly products. I know PETA seems extreme to some, but

I've gotten many " non-offensive items " through their shop and linked

websites...I got a Club Soda, not Seals shirt and a few others

I have a few simple ones on my site. They are in this section about half way

down. Ignore the rest, everyone may not agree with them (some are custom orders

for other people - none offensive to veggies though)!

I have a great bumber sticker that I got at PETA that says " Cut class, not

frogs " It is green and has a cartoon frog on it--that generates lots of

interest! Not necessarily vegetarian, but in the same vein.
