Guest guest
I've made a salad dressing out of 1 orange (with only the orange peel removed - pith included), 1 avocado, and 1 tomato. It was pretty good, but I also put " Spike " seasoning on my salad. You might want to add a little sea salt to taste???? I mixed mine in my Vitamix. I frequently make a dressing with cucumber and tomato also. Once I added some red pepper and it was awesome. I just add a little and taste. Then add another chunk until I get it how I want it. Guest guest
The simplest salad dressing would be lemon juice. Cut a lemon in half and squirt it on your salad. If you want something of more substance, blend up an avocado with a little bit of seeds and pinches of different herbs thrown in. Guest guest
My favorite recipe is the Boutenko's Generic Salad Dressing Recipe. I've got a copy on my site, but you should also buy their books. http://www.rawfoodwiki.org/index.php/Generic%20Salad%20Dressing On Thu, 25 Mar 2004, vaberella wrote: > > http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/ > check out that link...just checked it out...easy and tons of recipes! > scroll down for the sauce recipes! > VB > > rawfood , " nyia12 " <eeyore_0_4> wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > > > I am trying to get rid of my salad dressing. Guest guest
Your everyday salad dressing is very much like mine but I do put in some dried dill weed and I often use Flax seed oil. I am cautious about the *raw* garlic because I have read that one can get botulism from it. Maybe if it is *pickled* in the vinegar it will be ok. I eat pickled garlic daily. Those packaged onion soup mixes are so yummy but I would have to pass because they all contain MSG. I agree plain yogurt is much better for us than sour cream . Do you ever use soft tofu for your ranch dressing? Curious as I have not found a recipe for ranch that I really like.
