Guest guest
Someone in another group said they used to eat apple cake that was cooked in the heat/dry seeting inside the dishwasher and they lost the recipe. Has anyone ever heard of this odd way of baking a cake????? I had to ask here since all of you try some many recipes out. Guest guest
Now I'm curious. I could see it might workout since you can bake certain breads in the slow-cooker. Guest guest
The recipe for fish in the dishwasher was in a Hotpoint dishwasher manual that I owned years ago Perhaps the recipe for the cake will be in a dishwasher manual. Guest guest
Years ago, when we lived on Fort Bragg, we used to have lots of cookouts for 30+ people at a time. I used to make corn-on-the-cob and potatoes in my dishwasher. I would wrap all the corn and potatoes in tinfoil, place them on the racks, and then run a normal cycle -- with no detergent of course. It was the only way I could think of to cook that much corn and potatoes without heating up my kitchen. It worked really well. I never heard of baking a cake in there though. It could definitely be done, as my corn and potatoes always came out great. Tina M.
