Guest guest
Can I ask a cooking type question? I've gotten fresh herbs a couple times with my veggies. I cut them up small & added them to salads, but it was hard to get the little pieces to spread out. They kind of clumped up. Any ideas how to make them separate more easily? Could they be too wet from washing or something? Sue
Guest guest
I think you guessed the problem. Either dry them completely or let them sit on the counter for a while to dry. With some very moist fresh herbs you will need to let them dry a bit after cutting, too. If you don't have time to wait, you can add them to any liquid or oil that you plan on putting on. That way they spread with the liquid or oil Use 2-3 times as much fresh herb as you would dry. Katie Sue <kup wrote: Can I ask a cooking type question? Guest guest
-Sue, I mix my minced herbs with my salad dressing which is usually just olive oil and vinegar . But you can add your fresh herbs to any salad dressing that you choose. Try adding them to Veganaise it is delicious alone but I love to add fresh dill, basil, etc. mixed in mine.By the way my Basil is coming up and I can't wait for some fresh pesto or salad dressing. My Lemon Balm is beautiful but my Rosemary is not looking good. I seem to have bad luck with it. Anyone have any suggestions??
