Dumping dairy if any are trying to give up dairy

I like rice milk. I use it the way one would use regular cow's milk.

I really like it in my steel cut oats, faux mac'n'cheese, etc.

 

The soy milk is too thick, and in my opinion, isn't great for cooking.

However, I do like it for making milkshakes with soy ice cream.

Hi Judy

I use rice milk, oat milk or almond milk in place of dairy milk. Or

if you go to Spain, horchata is magic - it's made from tiger nuts

(chufas) and flavoured with cinnamon. I used to be able to get it

here in Edinburgh but it seems to have vanished over the last few

months :-( Or on muesli I use fruit smoothie such as Innocent mango

and passionfruit (recipe should be in the files) or even orange

juice. There are loads of lovely alternatives to dairy milk with no

need to resort to soya milk at all.

Not a dairy alternative really but I used to use apple juice on my corn

flakes or oat meal(with a little cinnamon) as a kid. Tasted like an

apple pie, sort a...
