Guest guest
I bought a sun tea jug just last year. I guess it depends on how long you leave it out and how soon you refrigerate it. I usually just brew it cold by adding tea bags to the jug of water in the refrigerator and letting it sit overnight. Not exactly the same, but tasty still. -- Kat_Doyle (@earthlink.net)

Guest guest
I like the idea of refrigerator tea mentionned in the snopes article. You can skip that whole setting the pitcher out in the sun step and then cooling it down in the fridge. I<ll have to try that this weekend Thanks for the info! In fact, I make it during the winter months here in Northen Illinois by simply putting the tea bags in water in the jug and leaving the jug on the counter top in the kitchen. It turns out great. in Northern Illinois ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Guest guest
I got sun tea jugs two years ago, but apparently they are no longer available. I still use them to keep ice tea in the fridge, I just make regular tea with boinl water in them. Guest guest
I have made my " sun tea " in the fridge for many years cause I'm too lazy to set it out in the sun (usually forget it) and then have to cool it down. Works great just letting it sit in the fridge overnight. - <dgontard Friday, June 29, 2007 6:33 PM RE: Re: sun tea dangerous??? >I like the idea of refrigerator tea mentionned in the snopes article. Guest guest
that is because you can still safely make tea... either by making it strong with hot water to begin with then adding ice to it >. the hot water kills the bacteria.. or making it in the fridge.. check out what snopes has to say.. they confirm the sun tea is full of bacteria thing... http://www.snopes.com/food/prepare/suntea.asp , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Those jogs are still all over the place here in L.A. > I'm curious now. > donna >
