Why is it that everything in this country has to be sweet? I'm wondering...is it like this in other countries also? They'll advertise a product as being lowfat, but then they load it up with sugar. Have never been able to figure out why they do that. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

I just find that too many foods that shouldn't be sweet, are. I tend to avoid sugar so maybe I'm just over sensitive. TM ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
The only thing I ever 'missed' having, for many years was a hot dog. When I discovered the Faux Dogs I was thrilled. So I ate the heck out of those things for about a week and now I never crave them. To be honest even the food names 'dogs and burgers' are revolting to me. I refer to them as bun wrapped things and patties. I cannot bear to eat flesh of any kind and have felt this way for over 30 yrs. When I hear and see the commercial with the children singing the Oscar Myer song I am saddened. " oh I wish I was an Oscar Myer weiner, that is what I'd truely like to be, etc, etc. Is that totally sick or what? Guest guest
Hi, I just joined the list today. TendrMoon asked why low-fat food has so much sugar. When they take out the fat some of the flavor is lost so they have to make up for it in some way. Usually it is either sugar or sodium. Many people think when a food has " reduced fat " that it is also reduced in calories. That isn't always true. I don't like overly sweet foods either. We ingest way too much. Guest guest
I was not a big fan of hot dogs. But, if I have a faux one now, I just load it with onions and mustard. Can't taste anything else.
