Does anyone know if you can bake with flaxseed? I mean does it take away all the

benefits by baking. Also has anyone heard of grapeseed oil. My husband picked it

up instead of olive oil it tastes fine but I wonder if it is good for you.

Got a little couch potato?

Check out fun summer activities for kids.

I have a bottle of grapeseed oil which I use in breadmaking - the

bottle says it is high in polyunsaturates and is " ideal for shallow

frying, salad dressings and baking. " Can't help on the flaxseeds.

You can add it to most anything but thinking you still need to grind it

to make the good stuff available to you. I am new to flaxseed and have

just springkled on oatmeal so far but my package has a huge list of

items such as muffins, breads.... and I do have a friend that always

uses in her banana bread.

I use grape seed oil to fry with because it has a high smoking point

for frying, and it is a LOT heathier than even olive oil to fry

with, plus the flavor is very nutrual, fry your veggies with it,

you'll love it. I never used flax seed oil. My guess is that is best

in salad?---
