Guest guest Posted July 1, 2007 Report Share Posted July 1, 2007 I made this recently and it is absolutely delicious. * Exported from MasterCook * Quorn Beef Style Pieces in a Mushroom & White Wine Sauce Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 300 g Quorn beef style pieces 1 tbsp olive oil 1/2 oz butter 1 large onion -- finely chopped 1/4 pint white wine 5 1/2 oz chestnut mushrooms -- sliced 10 fluid ounces low fat creme fraiche 1 tbsp wholegrain Dijon mustard Salt & freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped Paprika to garnish Heat the oil and butter in a large frying pan, fry the onion on a low heat for 5-4 minutes until softened. Increase heat to medium, ad the Quorn Beef Style pieces and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. Add the white wine and cook until it has reduced by a third. Add the mushrooms, crème fraiche, mustard and seasoning, cook on a moderate heat for 12-15 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley, sprinkle with a little paprika and serve with boiled rice, steamed broccoli and baby carrots.
