Guest guest
I think spaghetti squash is delicious baked in the micro, scraped out and a little butter added. Yum! Guest guest
Wow, that's actually one of my step-kids' favourite things to eat. Usually, I'll split the spaghetti squash and bake it face down in the oven. One it's cooked, about 15 minutes, I turn them over and sprinkle a tsp of brown sugar and a little nutmeg and put them under the broiler for 5 minutes. I can't seem to make enough for them. But they also love sweet potato wedges sprinkled with cajun spices. They are 9 & 11. The eldest won't eat fresh tomatoes though ... that drives me nuts! Cheers! I agree with you,YUCK! Spaghetti squash is the only vegetarian meal my omnivore husband has refused to eat. I couldn't get it down either. Guest guest
My 2 (well 2 tomorrow) year old LOVES fresh tomatoes. Which is funny, because I don't like them! LOL When I order a sandwich or salad or something that comes with them I will give them to him and he just can't get enough of them. He's done that since about 9 months old, I always found it odd since I thought they were eww. ) Rachel ~ The eldest won't eat fresh tomatoes though ... that drives me nuts! Cheers! Denise G. Guest guest
I recently posted a recipe for marinated artichoke pieces. It is really great. The best way to prepare cauliflower is to not over cook it. Stove simmer and then I serve it covered with a broccoli puree. Very easy to make. Just simmer brocoli until tender and process in the blender with two green onions (bulbs only). Salt and white pepper to taste. Serve this broccoli puree over cauliflower , mashed or baked potatoes, pasta or rice. Guest guest
When my #2 daughter was little she hated tomatoes and called them red onions. When she was 5 she suddenly decided she liked them and still does. They can have a strong flavor for a small child. I think that was why she did not like them. The acid in them was just to much for her until she became a bit older. Katie Rachel Lucas <rachellucas6 wrote: My 2 (well 2 tomorrow) year old LOVES fresh tomatoes.
