Guest guest
Oh oh ! I checked on line and it can be ordered but there are 3 kinds. Red, green and yellow. Which one did you use in your recipe? Deanna
Guest guest
If I remember correctly, if a thai dish has coconut, that is usually an indicator that it's the green thai curry. Red is for something like Pad Thai, which doesn't usually have coconut. Yellow is for dishes that are closer to East Indian Curry. So I think you're looking for Green Thai Curry. Although, Guru would know for sure I hope that helped. Denise G. - genny_y2k Sunday, July 08, 2007 7:41 PM Thai Curry Paste Oh oh ! I checked on line and it can be ordered but there are 3 kinds. Guest guest
Deanna I used yellow. Be sure to check the ingredients. Some types have shrimp in them. The last time I checked, shrimp were not vegetarian. GB , " genny_y2k " <genny_y2k wrote: > > Oh oh ! I checked on line and it can be ordered but there are 3 kinds. > Red, green and yellow. Guest guest
Denise, I am not an expert on this. I just have been experimenting this past year or so since I got a flat bottomed cast iron wok. I've been to a couple of Thai restarants and tried to get the tastes I like. I just mainly go by taste. It turned out pretty good so I posted the recipe. I would like to make the Curry paste with Deanna but I have no idea where to get the 2 herbs. If 2 herbs are missing, it could really change the whole taste and experience, so I think I will stick to store bought until I find a recipe where I recognize all ingredients.
