Guest guest
Thanks for posting this. I have recently been tempted to try it, too. My son loves the Marie Calendar's country fried chicken dinners (no, he isn't vegetarian) , and he also loves the MSF chik patties so when I saw the Gardenburger version of those with the pepper gravy, I thought it might be a wonderful vegetarian alternative for him; guess not! I doubt he would eat it from what you describe as he is very fussy. I may have to just find a recipe and make my own pepper-gravy to serve over the MSF chik patties. Guest guest
Hey Susie.....do you think there is anyway to salvage the gravy? Perhaps take the packet or container and add some milk, flour and of course 500 lbs. more of pepper (always gotta do that with all taters and gravies no matter where from). Could one use the packaged stuff as a base and add shrooms and stuff....or is it just that bad?? I definitely trust your cooking experience based on that good ole soup recipe you posted (good stuff)...good good good....tofu and brown rice..who-woulda-thunk, lol. Sorry that yall had a bad meal and the money went to waste, but thanks a bunch for warning the rest of us for those who are/were interested. Very thoughtful...TY. Guest guest
oh no!! there is no way to salvage that gravy! it's horrible! lol! might as well make your own from scratch....that's pretty easy to do. some kind of mushroom gravy sounds good. my mom told me she recently bought a new vegan gravy mix by morning star farms at the central market in austin. she said it was in a packet and in the aisle with other dry mix packages. she said it was good. i have never seen that product. i even went to the msf/kellogs website and didn't see such a product mentioned. anywho, gravy mixes are easy to come by, although i'm not sure if they are vegetarian or vegan (i don't buy them). --- _- matrixenos -_ <matrixenos wrote: > Hey Susie.....do you think there is anyway to > salvage the gravy? " Ok thanks! Some vegg gravy mixes can be found at grocers, however I have to check by reading the ingredients (not labled as Vegg) that do not list the usual meat fats and the like. I'll stick to the homemaders, as in that rue starter....thanks. S. --- _- matrixenos -_ <matrixenos wrote: > Hey Susie.....do you think there is anyway to > salvage the gravy? Guest guest
They sound very good. I clicked the link you sent, but for some reason the picture of the product didn't want to load. Guest guest
Yeah, I probably just had too many programs running at the same time or my connection speed was having a bum day. *lol* But it does sound like you got a good price for the quantity of the dumplings. Thanks for sharing about this product, I will keep an eye out for them as they do sound appealing to my palate. ~ feral ~ Familiar things happen, and mankind does not bother about them.Ê It requires a very unusual mind to undertake the analysis of the obvious. ~ Alfred North Whitehead (1861-1947) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~> , " artichoke72x " < artichoke72x> wrote: > hmmmm....wonder why the picture didn't load. i just > clicked the link and it loaded. > yes, they are very similar to potstickers. > > susie

Guest guest
I love Smart Balance spread so recently tried Smart Balance oil. Not happy with this product and plan to go back to olive oil for frying . This oil cannot be heated to a high temp. with out burning. Guess that is a good thing as it is not that healthy to heat any oil to a high temp. Smart Balance Peanut Butter is really tasty and I like the texture. Guest guest
I use the Smart Balance Oil and cook with it all the time. I've never had a problem with burning. I cook at all kinds of temps with it. I'm not sure what might have caused this problem for you. It is the only cooking oil that I buy. We love it. We love the whole line of Smart Balance products.
