if you are taking thyroid medication do NOT take iron at the same time. they

cancel each other out. learned this from a pharmacist when asked about iron

cause was taking it and still tired all the time. talked to my dr after that and

he didn't know that but made a note and told his other patients taking both to

take them at seperate times too. think webmd has an interaction checker where

you can enter all the meds and supplements you take and your pharmacist

will/should have that info too.

Years of rarely having a soda and I treat myself to sixpacks of ginger ale and

lemon-lime, the very next day the news says soda's worse for our bodies than

anyone knew!! Sigh, such timing I have ! LOL

great grandma recycled, she called it making do.

My doctor didn't know that either and I was taking them at the same time

twice a day... No wonder I'm so darn tired all the time, and I thought it

was just the anemia. Thanks for the info.. From me and my doctor !!

  • 3 weeks later...

I am really behind on my emails, sorry.

Just an add on, calcium supplements also cancel the absorbtion of

thyroid meds, so wait at least 2 hours after taking thyroid meds to

take a calcium supplement.
