Guest guest
A lot of you will remember Wee although he has not posted for a while - his life is so busy. Well I am currently down from Edinburgh on a course in London and last night Wee and I finally got to meet up. We met at a vegetarian restaurant in Soho which I would hightly recommend if you are ever in London - you can see the restaurant and menu here: http://www.mildreds.co.uk/ Wee treated me to a fabulous meal - quite independently we both chose the same dishes we had the soup of the day which was tomato and chickpea which was delicately spiced and came with homemade bread. Then we had the Malaysian curry, followed by ice cream - mine was vegan vanilla and chocolate with prune, whilst Wee had vanilla, chocolate and pistachio. It was a beautiful meal and Wee was such good company - he is such a lovely man and just as fun and sincere as he is in his posts and we got on really well. I was really touched that he took the trouble to leave work early and to travel all the way in to the centre of London to meet me and then he took me to the station. Best of all he gave me a huge bag of runner beans, rocket and spring onions which he had picked fresh from his allotment and which I shall be eating and enjoying for the next few days. What a treat. I do hope that we shall be able to meet up again when I am down in London again. Donna - Wee says he will take you to Mildred's when you come over to visit! Guest guest
Wow. What a great menu at Mildred's. I tried looking some of the recipes up on Google, but had no luck. Guess I will have to " wing " it. Your meals sound wonderful! Isn't it nice to have a face to face meeting with an online friend? Guest guest
Wow, this sounds like you had a great meeting! I have never been to a vegetarian restaurant though I know of one in our town. I usually have something vegetarian on the rare occasions we eat out, in regular restaurants for my carnivore DBf... I love London and really feel the urge to get there again soon whenever I read about it... Started dating my DBf there 18 years ago, we had been there with a group from University... Have a great day, Tina in Germany
