Valerie Fjallstrom <vfjallstrom asked, " ...does anyone have

any yummy vegan recipes that are low in sodium? "

Because of my husband's high blood pressure, I usually use about half

the salt listed in most recipes. I use low sodium soy sauce. Some

flavors that can substitute for salt, depending on the recipe, are lemon

juice and herb mixes - such as Mrs. Dash or Spike. There are commercial

salt substitutes, but they taste really gross to me.

Someone was looking for low-sodium recipes. Here is a

list of sites where I have found interesting low

sodium recipes. I especially recommend the Mrs. Dash

site. They have recipes broken down into categories of

low-sodium.

I hope you find it helpful.

You may also want to check out my new cookbook at

Low-sodium, low-fat cooking is my bailiwick. ;)

It's been endorsed by the PCRM and well-received

by customers, some of whose comments you can read

at the above. [Thanks Donna for approving this

little self-promotion. We now return you to your

regularly scheduled program.]

For low-sodium products, including sauces, etc.

that are hard to find in grocery stores, my fav

resource is

http://www.healthyheartmarket.com/

They're always adding new products and take requests.

Enjoy,
