On the subject of granola bars (we call them muesli bars here in Australia,

btw), I made this recipe for my Lady a while ago and it is really good. I

made it into quite thick squares.

Lee-Gwen

OATMEAL CRUNCH BARS

4 cups quick cooking oats

1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (I used slivered almonds)

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 cup coconut

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted

3/4 cup orange marmalade

Heat oven to 400°F. Grease 15- x 10- x 1-inch baking pan. In large bowl,

combine all ingredients; mix well. Press in greased pan.

Bake at 400°F. for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely;

cut into bars. Yield: 48 servings.

Does anyone know of a healthy but inexpensive granola bar recipe that is TNT? My

son has been begging for granola bars and I don't want to buy sugar filled one.

Thanks

Steph
