Hi Marilyn,

I got a SoyaJoy soymilk maker (http://soymilkmaker.com) around the end

of 2006, and have been very happy with it. That's the only one I've

used, but I've also heard nothing but good things about SoyQuick

machines (http://www.soymilkquick.com) .

Hope this helps!

Peace,

Maureen

I must have confused you, Amber. I am wanting to buy a soymilk maker. It

I typically buy Silk...unless at Wal-mart...I then pick up their Great

Value brand and find that it's great!

You're helping me too Maureen :) Thanks. I'm glad Marilyn brought

this up as I've been thinking about getting a soymilk maker too. Can

you add flax seeds to the milk in your SoyaJoy?

Peace,

Diane

Hello,

I've been meaning to get one of these Soywonder machines and give it a

try:

http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/soy_milk_maker_machine.aspx

They cost a little bit more, but have a larger capacity at 2 liters

(1/2 gallon) at a time and the ability to make sequential batches one

right after another. I've been using two pots with a strainer and an

immersion blender to make almost 3 liters of rich milk (extra beans

and some rice and garbanzos) for large batches of soy yogurt. No

machine makes batches that big, but I could run one twice. That's _my_

comfort food. ;)

I've only ever owned one, so nothing against which to

compare. I have this one: http://www.soyapower.com/

It makes great soymilk (I add a little vanilla after its done

and that's it), and is quick both to prepare and complete.

But, is it ever noisy when it's pulverizing the soaked beans.

The only thing that keeps me from using it more often is the

cleanup. If you could get to it right away, it might not be

so bad, but they are too darn hot to get anywhere near it for

a while. I try to cool it down faster by pouring the soymilk

into mason jars and scraping out the okra as soon as possible.

Now, to be fair, the cleaning solution they sell does wonders.

Just soak for ten minutes or so then wipe it down. However,

it would get expensive to use it all the time.

All in all though, it's a big money-saver. I use the Laura

soybeans from http://www.fairviewfarms.com/ (non-GMO)

Hope this helps,
