Guest guest
If you do not make your own veggie broth from the posted recipes your local health food market carries 6-8 different brands/types of veggie cubes, broth, and powder. Sometimes you can buy the powder in bulk. Be careful of the reg store bought 'veggie' broth, packaged soup mixes. They often contain artificial color, MSG, and other preservatives. You can make your own veggie stock , package it and freeze for instant soups, etc. Save all your organic veggie peels, package, freeze and when you get a bunch boil them up and make veggie stock. Season with your favorite herbs and you will have it on hand for your next recipe. I also like it for quick gravy , etc. Deanna in Colorado ********************************************************************** , " Penny French " <penny368 wrote: > > I've never had much luck in finding veggie bouillon, but you may find cans > of veggie broth in the same areas your store stocks beef and chicken broth. > Our selection is rather up and down, so I buy several cans when I see it. > It should be near the canned soups in your store. Guest guest
I have two types of veggie bouillon I really like. One is Rapunzel vegan cubes. The other is powdered Vegetable Broth from Oregon Spice company. I get both from Azure Standard, but you could probably get it directly from the maker. I particularly like the Oregon Spice Power because you use exactly how much you want and it smells so very good when you put it into food or water. I use Pacific liquid vegetable broth with good results. II have used Knorr cubes and don't think much of them. Our selection is rather up and down, so I buy several cans when I see it. It should be near the canned soups in your store. Occasionally I have seen veggie bouillon in that same area, and one substitute I’ve found is the Lipton or Knorr’s vegetable soup mix usually for making a dip – where the different Cup of Soup packages are. Good luck, this can be quite a search! _____ On Behalf Of Bev Tuesday, August 14, 2007 9:39 AM Re: Bev. Guest guest
Hi Bev, You might look thru the Spice mixes folder - there are a couple of broth powder mixes in there; those are easy to store in a cupboard. %2ARecipes/Mixes%20and%20Sp\ ice%20Blends%20and%20How%20to%20Make%20Substitutes/Spice%20Mixes%20%26%20Rubs/ Peace, Diane , " Bev " <bdowns45681 wrote: > > thanks for responding.
