If you eat cheese a slice is good on a water cracker with sharp cheese too. I will toss pears into cooked herb and mild spiced cooked rice with some walnuts on top. Guest guest Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 Put a little small spoonful of Cream Cheese sprinkled with toasted walnuts. Put a maraschino cherry on top of each one. Put a little dollop of Mayo/Veganaise in the middle of a pitted half pear. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and add a maraschino cherry on top of each one. It is delicious added to a fruit salad. Make them into a pear pie using an apple pie recipe, but substituting your pears for the apples in the recipe. Make a pear sauce the same way you would applesauce. It is good spooned on toast or pancakes that you have spread with some crunchy peanut butter. Here are 154 Pear recipes. They are rated by folks like us that try them.
