Could I ask a big favor. Could folks not imbed pictures in e-mails. Send them as either an attachment with reduced size OR, preferably, send a link to a picture site or the picture section.

The possum pictures has locked up my computer 3 times and slowed the thing down to a time out twice when it was downloaded to my e-mail program.

Hi Taga (may I call you that?)

I have never seen one before - well only in a cartoon, not a real one.

Well done for rescuing him. I hope he gets better. I will light a candle for him tonight.

Will you hear any news of him at all?

Re: Re: Question Aboot Chickens

hi jo,

I found this on the grass, outside of my house.

at first I didn't know what it was, I am a city person.

It was definately injured, it made a small whimpering noise when I picked him/her up.

I always have my camera with me so I took a picture. this is in the inside, in my butterfly/bee garden.

I put him in a little box with one of my baby's old blankets.

I did searches on the internet an found out that he is a baby Opossum or Possum.

they cling to their mother's back with their tail, and they can hang upside down.

I suspect this one fell of his mamas back and some dog or cat must've had him.

As you can see from the picture he's got a puncture wound, He is so tiny he fits in my hand.

Sometimes he would open his eyes and sip some water.

when my husband got home, we brought him/her to a wild animal hospital, which is called

The Pelican Man's Bird Santuary, they take care of wild creatures.

We gave them a small donation and they imediately warmed him up and gave him antibiotics.

That is where he is now.

I hope that he makes it. He is one of the creatures featured in the "pest removal" ads we get in the mail.

now I know who's been eating my strawberries : )

I am praying for him.

sometimes I don't believe in God.

Today I do.

It was me who send the picture.

I promise I won't send anymore, I didn't realize.. .I just wanted to share.

I'm sorry.

For anyone who is interested in knowing,

the opossum that I found.. they had to put him down today.

the hospital said that he had a punctured bladder.

it was probably someones dog or cat that bit him.

The last thing he did was hiss at me, so I thought that this was a good sign that he had strength.

oh well, I tried.

I will be going offline,

I need some time away from the computer and fix a virus that my computer caught.

And Bugs Bunny is a friend of mine

Eating him I'd feel like Frankenstein

Eating flesh seems pretty foul to me

I'm sorry to hear that Anouk. At least you tried, and he died being cared for.

In the future, if you have any interesting pictures, you can send them to me offlist, as I would be interested. I hope you get your viruses sorted out and come back soon.
