Guest guest
bull pucky i've been hearing that story for years....my old boss was convinced that the end was nigh for printed material(this was about 2000) he's out of business..books are still going books are here for a long long long time Most books that have been published online haven't taken off.... research is one thing.... enjoying a novel is an entire different beast and, you'd be surprised at how many ppl don't have a computer tho, i assume a goodly number of those folks don't read anyways.... rvijay07 May 19, 2005 3:30 PM Paperbooks on their way out. http://www.abqtrib.com/albq/bu_columnists/article/0,2565,ALBQ_19837_3776298,00.html _____________No banners. Guest guest
I don't know this for sure, but from what I can tell and assume, people where far more intellectual and read more books before television was part of the household. even when you watch some movies from the 1940's you can see a more book/reading oriented society. We don't have a tv, (cable here is 60 dollars a month)sometimes i miss some programmes, but I do love that a person uses their own unique imagination and colors when reading a book. It is an indulgent, individualistic, unique, pleasurable, personal experience for me. tv, tells you how to color something. I hope paperbacks don't go out. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > bull pucky i've been hearing that story for years....my old boss was convinced that the end was nigh for printed material(this was about 2000) he's out of business..books are still going books are here for a long long long time Most books that have been published online haven't taken off.... research is one thing.... enjoying a novel is an entire different beast and, you'd be surprised at how many ppl don't have a computer tho, i assume a goodly number of those folks don't read anyways....
