Guest guest
I dont know what the fashion is in the U.S. right now but on this side we seem to be getting very little choice when buying furniture if we do not want leather. A lot of stores are even gone so far as to be offering leather only and the ones that give you a choice do not seem to have a lot of the other type. It is very annoying. It must be that hide has become very cheap. Does this mean that people are eating more meat or is it that some traditional use of hide has dissapeared. Guest guest
Mary, I agree, in the sixties/seventies everything was plastic/leatheret. Now everything has gone back to leather. Even more worrying is the trend in the fashion industry for more fur, and the withdrawing of support from many fashion houses for the boycott on fur. Guest guest
Good question, unfortunately it has been raining off and on all day here,so I have made my weekly pilgrimage to the local library to use a computer ( yes I am a poor ludite with no PC of my own!). Oh and my valley is a lot greener than it used to be thank you! The Valley Vegan......Mary Minihane <minih wrote: Why are you sitting inside answering this on a glorious sunny day.
