I must have led a very sheltered younger life - I almost never heard

swearing. Men never swore near women, and women hardly ever used any

swear words. My brother must have heard the f word when he was about

10. He said it in front of my mum and the result was pretty scary.

She pinned him to the kitchen sink, and seethed through her teeth -

'you will never say that word again'. I never heard him say that

one again.

My dad was armed forces and I was exposed to George Carlin at the tender

age of 5. I have a terrible mouth and actually got a reprimand put on my

file at my last place of work for swearing too much. Pantywaists.

I just chose to ignore this one. Couldn't read it properly through

the tears in my eyes anyways.

You obviously don't have enough Jeeves & Wooster over there!... Now,

if

you want insults, I'd have to go with something like " jobbernowl " or

I don't think I ever heard the " f " word until I was in my 30s. I didn't

realise " bloody hell " was a swear word/phrase, I was about 5. I was a very

quiet child and had wandered off as the adults were talking about bloodlines

and what have you. One of the grooms got kicked and he let loose with a

string of words, " bloody hell " was what stuck in my mind.

I remember being in love with the beautiful white horses (Arabs) and the

castles but deciding I didn't want to go and live in one because they hadn't

let me bring my dog with me <g> Quarantines and all that.

I did hear lots of swearing around the race track but still never the " f "

word. Guess it is more of a ghetto gone hip thing.
