i wasn't overly impressed

a co-worker adored it, and talked it up last year

she let me borrow her copy of it..watched it, and the new version of dawn of the dead

and..it was..well..ok

i think i expected more from the way she was talkin about it

she has a huge poster of it over her desk, and an official shaun of the dead cricket bat...

now..the new dawn of the dead...nuthin like watchin that, and then riding home at 2 in the morn thru winter rains..all alone...down dark wet oakland streets Jo Cwazy Jun 15, 2005 6:41 PM Shaun of the Dead We've just watched Shaun of the Dead - I found it really funny - it had melaughing out loud. I don't think Shaun was meant to be scary though - or was Dawn of the Dead funny?

I used to worship George Romero and was a huge fan of well-made horror films. Then all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, I lost all tolerance for scary stuff. When I saw the remake of Dawn of the Dead I had to sleep with my lights on for months. Then I watched The Exorcist which traumatized me even though I'd like seen it like three times already. I'm not sure what's going on, but now I even have to change the channel during ads for horror films.

I read that Shaun of the Dead was actually more comedy than horror, but I'm still staying away from it.

Love,

Anna

Hi Anna

Shaun of the Dead is comedy, and we found it hilarious. I am like

you - used to watch horror films but cannot now.

I liked the new Dawn of the Dead too! Awesome horror!

Has anyone seen the Bogeyman yet? It looks good but I've heard

terrible reviews on it.

I overdid the horror in my 30s and don't tend to watch it now! I haven't

seen the Bogeyman. Has anyone seen the horror film with Sarah Michelle

Geller in it - called the Grudge or something similar.

I was raised on Poe and Boris Karloff and scary movies. I rarely jump which

drives everyone in the family up the wall. They got a real kick out of the

Grudge because I think that was a 2 jumper for me <g>
