Guest guest Posted June 17, 2005 Report Share Posted June 17, 2005 My name is Heather I am 29 and have a wonderful husband named Keith and a even better son named Joey who is 2 We live on Long Island in NY with our 2 Pug dogs Baci and Bailey. I work part time and my son attends Kindercare Learning Center 3 days a week. My husband is a meat lover and have never been lol I am pretty new to Veganism but have not eaten meat since I was in college. I would like to adopt some or most of the vegan ways of eating. I didnt turn vegitarian because of animal rights, I have just alwasy felt there was something wrong with humans eating other animals, it actually just grossed me out. But as I got older I began to see other more humane reasons to avoid it. You and I are in similar situations. My hubby and son are both carnivores while I have been Vegan now for 3 years next month. It takes some getting use to and grocery shopping is never fun, but it can work. If ever I can help, please let me know!
