funny how cultures are different that seem so similar in so many regards

i don't think i've ever heard much talk about religious subjects any place i've ever worked(besides x-mas..and not sure how much a religious connotation that holds anymore compared to the commercial aspects)

none of my immediate *family*(by family i mean companions, friends, etc) ever talks about anything religious..except in the negative fashion(for the most part)

and yet

from polls and news items, we over here are suppose t o be ultra-religious and such....

maybe they only interview ppl in ohio and iowa..... Jo Cwazy Jun 21, 2005 10:06 AM Re: Fw: Grrrrr

OMG! Do you remember what programme it was on? What an idiot.

It was quite jolly at work today as there are three Pagans on my floor - lots of Solstice chat.

Fw: Grrrrr

I'm a bit astonished by what I just heard on the news... on the article on the summer solstice, they actually stated that "for Pagans the summer solstice marks the re-birth of the sun". So, which "researcher" typed in "solstice" on google, and forgot to check which solstice they were looking at? I can't help wondering what sort of uproar there would be if they stated that "for Christians, Christmas marks the death of Jesus"???

That's interesting. I think may Pagans area talkative lot though - they seem to be here, and most people who aren't Pagan seem to be fairly interested anyway.

There's hardly any of that here. Maybe the Hare Krishna chap is a bit set in his ways - can't equate to anything else, but most people are okay.
