That's really sweet of you. I omitted the fact that I'm from Kansas. I have the day off but I'm too busy at home to participate in any of the activities. I'm thankful our town has banned fireworks so I only get an occasional bang and boom--unlike years previous when It sounded like I was right on the front.

I reflect that my first post was an observation for when vegans fall off the wagon. I've thought about it and our GI tracts are constantly processing meat front epithelial slough and from our own slime--so it's little wonder we can handle some radical diversion in diet. For the purists, though, I'm safely home and back on the wagon.

Thanks!

Hope everyone here had a good one with family and/or friends. And had

some tasty vegan BBQ. I did corn on the cob and veggie & tofu kabobs

along with some fake hotdogs for my neice. Why do kiddies love hotdogs

so? It has always been a mystery to me.

HA! Well, yeah, it was over 110, so that mighta worked.

Really, I am amazed at how popular BBQ is here. The people under me

do an outdoor BBQ for dinner at least 1-2x each week. Gotta love it

when the smoke from their charring flesh starts rolling in my

windows! NOT!

Well, aren't you just super-lucky?

Whenever I think of fast food and mystery meat... I think of this

episode of Buffy where she starts working at a fast food place.

Something odd is going on (of course) and she thinks the workers are

being made into the mystery patties. Turns out the mystery patties

are really made from vegetables. Hehe! I loved that ending.

OK, well now that I have exposed my love of Buffy, I better go back

and hide in the corner... :)

I know that feeling, we have McDonalds literally two houses down on

the corner of our block and then everything else within a 5 block

radius.

On a " good " day you can get quite overwhelmed stepping out your front

door.

I saw that episode with my son and it actually was pretty good. Of

course the Nufu died in the end. :)

I like Yugi-Oh. My son wants to be Yugi when he grows up, literally.

But it is a pretty good show and the game itself is amazing. You

have to be a rocket scientist practically to follow along with all

of the rules. Of course, the 6 year old knows it by heart. The most

amazing part if it is that his reading is very limited, so he

memorizes what the cards are from us reading them to him and from

the show and can play that way. Now keep in mind he has about 100

cards! It literally amazes me!

What ever happened to simple old Dungeons & Dragons?

Nikki :)

Yeah, I'm an " adult " and I sometimes feel confused watching the

show. The people who make this up have gotta be pretty imagainative

(and have a HUGE white board for keeping everything straight!)
