Guest guest
Ok my fellow organic gardeners, I need major pumpkin help! My plant is taking over the yard and the dog is afraid to go out to pee! Can I trim this baby without hurting it in any way? Can I cut off feelers/arms like you would on a strawberry plant? I have about 50 flowers on it, but according to my neighbor across the street, the flower is only a fruit if there is a ball under it on the vine. Is this correct? Because I do have two balls (no comments please) but they are on the two long arms that are stretching out to cover the yard. If I can clip, and I clip these, is this the end of my pumpkins? I don't want to lose the pumpkins, but DH is a little upset about the size of the monster. Especially since he did not know I was bringing it home from the garden store. LOL Thx!
