Guest guest
I love perfume. I use many perfumes from The Perfumers Guild - lovely floral and spicy perfumes, and Karma from Lush. Does anybody have any favourite vegan perfumes to recommend??? Jo
Guest guest
Ugh oh... I didn't know perfume could be " non-vegan " ... See?!! This is why I joined this list... Always an education. Lately, I've been wearing a scent I had mixed at Aveda, but before that I was a devout wearer of Tocade. Are either of these on the forbidden list? What makes a perfume non-vegan friendly? Might have to give Karma a whirl. I am new to Lush - but have LOVED everything I've tried so far. BIG shampoo is a miracle of nature! FRG , " Jo Cwazy " <heartwork@c...> wrote: > I love perfume. Guest guest
Lots of perfumes are tested on critters. Some perfumes contain animal ingredients or ingredients that were/are tested on critters. Guest guest
EcoBella isn't strictly a vegan line (I think their body lotion has beeswax in it.) But their colognes are carried by Pangea and their Ambrosia is really yummy. Smells strongly of alcohol when you first put it on, but fades really nice. Guest guest
I love Burt's Bees Tomato. I use it and so does my son. Speaking of shampoo, I have heard that SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate) are known carcinogins. What do you all use for shampoo that is the best for us and for the environment? Guest guest
Perfumes often use animal ingredients like musk. If you can get ones made with essential oils they are perfectly okay. LUSH is very good. They are all vegetarian and have quite a few vegan items. Jo > Ugh oh... I didn't know perfume could be " non-vegan " ... > > See?!! This is why I joined this list... Guest guest
That's interesting Anna. Most companies seem to use beeswax in some of their lines, which is a shame. It's usually the lip salves/balms. Apart from the petroleum jelly ones I haven't managed to find a lip balm without beeswax. Guest guest
Pangea carries lip balms that don't use beeswax or petroleum jelly (I'm pretty sure.) Guest guest
I use Jasons deodorant, they are definately pricey products though ( must be because they are imported) The Valley Vegan......heartwerk <heartwork wrote: Burt's Tomato sounds interesting.I use Jason toiletries mainly. Guest guest
I use Pitrok spray deoderant. From Jason I use hand wash, bath liquid, and hand and body lotion. It is very good, and you can get away with using less than you would of other products.
