Guest guest
so..who wants to bet it'll hit $100 a barrel in 6 months? all you need is a couple disasters..nice hurricane in the gulf of mexico..bombing of iran..iraq totally going up in flames...won't take much.. Oil Prices Settle at New High Above $62 By EDITH BALAZS, Associated Press Writer 29 minutes ago Analysts said gasoline prices — now averaging $2.29 a gallon nationwide — are likely to head higher. Light, sweet crude for September delivery rose 93 cents to close at $62.31 a barrel, a nominal record for crude since trading began on the New York Mercantile Exchange in 1983. The previous settlement high was $61.89 a barrel set Tuesday. Oil futures rose as high as $62.45 on Friday, a nickel shy of the intraday peak set earlier in the week. Nymex gasoline futures rose 2.99 cents to settle at $1.8322 a gallon, an increase of 5 percent from a week ago. " We'll break the all-time records next week " at the retail level, said Tom Kloza, director of Wall, N.J.-based Oil Price Information Service. The record high was $2.33 per gallon, established the week ending July 8. Adjusting for inflation, retail gasoline prices peaked above $3 a gallon in 1981. Guest guest
Diesel went from $2.63 last week to $3.13 Wednesday. What this is all about is opening Anwar and drilling in the plates off California. Push CA's gas high enough and they figure we'll all go quietly. NOT! Guest guest
Yeah, heaven forbid that a soccer mom or yuppy get out of their SUV and walk two blocks to the store! Or their kids got off their duffs in front of that t.v. to do more than get in the SUV to go to soccer practice. Wouldn't want to get too much exercise. Lynda, whose youngest bicyles about 5 miles a day for fun! - fraggle <EBbrewpunx Friday, August 05, 2005 3:57 PM Re: fill er up... > you'd be surprised > push up gas prices high enough, and ppl will scream to open up the coastal waters...my SUV just has to make it to wal mart! > > i missed the whole discussion you folks had the other week..but... > my two cents > we are all absolutely and completely doomed... > > > Lynda <lurine > Aug 5, 2005 6:46 PM > > Re: fill er up... > > Diesel went from $2.63 last week to $3.13 Wednesday. > > What this is all about is opening Anwar and drilling in the plates off > California.
