Guest guest
We went to the funeral of my cousin's wife today, which is sad enough in itself. We left in plenty of time - allowed 3 and a quarter hours for a 1 and a half hour journey - so we could stop at the services for loos and a cuppa. There was a big pile up on the M32 and we were stuck in crawling traffic for 2 hours, and got to the church half way through the service. Well - at least we didn't miss it all. We went to the crematorium and then back to my cousin's place. There were a load of people there and a big buffet, but absolutely nothing vegan. We were hungry as we hadn't eaten since mid morning. Anyway on the way home we stopped at seven different pubs hoping we might be able to find something to eat but there wasn't anything suitable, not even a backed potato and beans, so we had to eat when we got home. It was such a hot day, well hot in the car anyway, and so humid, we are worn out. On the bright side of course, it wasn't one of our funerals - so that's enough moaning from me. Guest guest
Hi Jo I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Peter too. Sounds like an absolutely horrid day to add to an already sad one! Guest guest
Thanks Nikki It was sad - Ann was about 62, so not as old as she should have been. The annoyances of yesterday have faded today. I am just glad we made it to the church for some of the service.
