Heads need to roll! There are hundreds, if not thousands of folks who died

horrible deaths. There are also hundreds if not thousands of animals right

now who have died or are dying or will die/be euthenized because bureaucrats

are screwing up! I'm pissed!

Maybe you all saw Tim Russert in Meet the Press this weekend. The president

of Jefferson Parish broke down in tears on nationwide television after he

had been pleading for help for several days and the feds had not shown up

yet. Wal-Mart had shown up within hours.

This poor man tried to relay the story of an emergency worker with whom he

was working. This worker's mother was in a nursing home that was inundated

with floodwaters. The mother called her son, the emergency worker, and

pleaded to know when someone was coming to rescue her.

The worker said, " Tuesday, Mom. They're coming on Tuesday. "

When that did not happen, and his mother called him, he said, " Wednesday,

Mom. They're coming on Wednesday. "

When that did not happen, and his mother called him, he said, " Thursday,

Mom. They're coming on Thursday. "

When that did not happen, and his mother called him, he said, " Friday, Mom.

They're coming on Friday. "

His mother drowned on Friday night.

My heart is broken.

Yeah, that's what I said and someone said Puerto Rico. As far as I know, many Puerto Ricans don't want to be part of the US and it currently isn't a state of the union. I guess if anyone would know if they added a state while I wasn't looking, it would be you! So I guess I'll rest easier that's not the case.fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote:

But you couldn't really have a US without Puerto Rico... all that would be left would be Guam and DC!!!

Although I suspect you'd all be happy to see the back of the IRS.
