hi jonnie,

one of my favorite college professors, his name is candelario saenz,

spent many years living with these people and he brought back home video

film which he would show in our anthropology class.

They way they talk, sounds like a click, it sounds very interesting when they are speaking fast.

It is the sound made when the tongue hits the upper part of the inside of your mouth and released fast. I can't quite

reproduce it since, sometimes it sounds nasal.

This language is called the !Xu language, and is part of the khoisan linguistic family. can you tell i got an A in that class : )

more information can be found in wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/!X%C5%A9

I have and I really enjoyed it! It brings a very fresh and amazing

perspective to things we know as " everyday items " .

I thought it was true, and if not, can imagine it to be.

It was amazing all the uses they found for the coke bottle though!

Yeah, I remember being very impressed with that from The Gods Must be Crazy. I guess the ! and / are probably some sort of click. I also would guess when you grow up speaking that way, your tonge is more flexible. I'm hoping to find that movie on DVD as my son hasn't seen it. They came out with a sequel I thought was really good too, but not as good as the original."zurumato" <zurumato wrote:
