Guest guest
Fraggle, have you been to Sonoma County and the Crane Canyon area? There is an area up there where there was a big shot out and folks say that on the aniversary you can still hear the shooting. On Fourth Street in Santa Rosa, next to the Safeway is an apartment complex that used to be the estate of a family that had lived there since the white folks discovered the area. They built a Spanish type house that had a tunnel from the basement out to the creek as an escape route incase they were attacked by Indians. When we were all in high school we used to go and walk through the place. It was like a movie set with secret panels and walkways in the walls. We found an old trunk with a dry cleaning receipt in it and brown stains that we decided were blood <g> The date on the receipt is the last day the guy's wife and son were ever seen and the day he boarded up the house. There were stains on the floor and windows in the nursery from iron. Looked like there had been bars and a gate. The interesting thing is that the house was boarded up and hadn't been lived in for over 20 years and it was immaculate. No cobwebs, no dust, TOILET PAPER in the bathroom and the water was turned on! The last time we went in there we heard someone with asthma but couldn't find a live body. The ex (football tackle) lifted up a tile from the floor (we were on the second floor balcony) and dropped it and it didn't shatter, it went about half way down and then seemed to float and be set down carefully on the floor! We got the heck out of dodge! A couple of years later there was a fire in the house and the guy sold it with the condition that no one go in the basement, that it be bulldozed in and that the livingroom stay intact and we used as a sitting place for the apartment building. You can still go see it. Our last house had 3 " visitors. " One we called Martha. She liked to pull the knobs off the clock and timer on the stove and throw them into the diningroom. Tuff-E would have fits upon occasion and wouldn't go in the laundry room. Son #3 had his keys disappear and reappear in the under the stairs hiding place that the old couple we bought the house from had built to keep their money in. And, one day he woke up to find all the drawers in his dresser and night stand. We've had lots of spooky stuff happen and the latest was here one night when the youngest kidlet and I were looking at Good Charlotte's blog. Something grabbed the back door and rattled it. We'd have thought it was our imagination since the motion light didn't go on except that Cali had a fit and went running to the back door with kill the intruder on her mind! Guest guest
Take the Penngrove exit and follow Petaluma Hill Road north to Crane Canyon Road. That would be where the Crane melon was invented, and they still sell them at a roadside stand there. Also, the Gables is still standing and it has rooms that are supposedly haunted. Of course, before you get to Crane Canyon Road, you can take the road that takes you to Roberts Road where you can put your car in neutral and coast uphill. Locally known as, plus having been on television many times, Gravity Hill. Guest guest
Not too much strange has happened to me. I went into the garden once to hang up washing, and this 'something' rushed past me to get out of the gate. It was sort of transparent, about 4 foot tall, moved very fast, and gave the impression of having been caught being nosey (looking through my back lounge window) and didn't want to be trapped. Peter also had an encounter with it a few days later. I have experienced telepathy, fairly often, psychometry and predictive dreams - also shared dreams. After people have died I have smelled smells associated with them for a few days to a few weeks. My dad's birthday was 1 November, and at midnight as the first 1 November after his death arrived, an alarm clock started ringing, and we couldn't stop it. This was an alarm clock that hadn't worked for a couple of years - and didn't have a battery in it! It rang for a few minutes and then stopped. So - not too much really. Guest guest
i don't really know. when I was little my birthday was never celebrated, everbody wore black,we went to the cementary on that day. we listened to mass all day long on the radio. I was born nov 2, the day of the dead. that's when everybody goes and pays respects to their dead relative graves. we were encouraged to have conversations with our granpas and grandmas, so I would talk to their picture and light a candle, tell arguments, give thier favorite flowers. I feel that when people lay down to sleep in their beds, they are so relaxed, that a realm opens and their souls are able to go into certains states in which connections from other realities can be made. in 97' my cousin Carlos died of Aids. I was the last one by his side. my family being hevily catholic, did not aprove of his lifestyle. He never felt comfortable " open " talking about his disease. I never asked him why, what or when. I just held his hand. When he said that he really wanted to live and not die, I told him that his job now, was to be an angel. And that I knew that he was going to be a good one. it was really sick and sad. People though he was contagious, and meds were not available at the public free hospital. I've had two dreams with him. I am walking down the street in some unknow city and bump into him. he looks desperate and grabs me tells me he can't find heaven and that he wants to live and urges me to help him. I run away frightened. then the next dream, we are sitting down on the grass somewhere and he says he is better and smiles and gives me a hug. I tell him that I love him. he was ten years older than me. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > > Greetings folks > since its october, i thought it would be neat if anyone here would like to tell any stories they have of anything..well..weird..strange..creepy..errie..that has ever happened to them > wotever you like... > ghosts > creepies > goblins > poltergiests > being chased by a carton of milk > the bank actually being open when you got there > eeeeeeeeeee! > > i think i've told my tales here a million times..sooo, time fer some new... > BLOOD > muhahahhahaha > > fraggle > > > >

Guest guest
Hi Anoluk It is sad that you could not celebrate your birthday as well as honouring the dead. There should be plenty of time in the day for both. You are right about being open when you sleep. It was good that you were with your cousin when he was dying. I think the first dream is your fear that your cousin may be lost and not have found a safe haven, and the second dream is you realising (or him telling you) that he is safe. Guest guest
I went to a restaurant the other day where I didn't have to explain how I eat. They knew AND had all sorts of recommendations! They made me a wonderful veggie platter, with steamed broccoli and asparagus and sauteed some veggies with peanut oil and spices, it came out sweet and spicey. I had an incredible salad with field greens, strawberries, herbs and balsamic vinegar. Happy, happy was I. I took the leftovers for lunch the next day. I recieved my copy of Plant Based Nutrition and Health. I'm getting very confused about the definition of Vegetarian and Vegan. I thought a Veggie eats plant based food (with variations of lacto and ovo) and a vegan does so, but also doesn't use any animal based products. Then in the book he says a veggie doesn't eat meat or fish and a vegan is 100% plant based. Can anybody shine some light on this? Are there any definate definitions?fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: Greetings folkssince its october, i thought it would be neat if anyone here would like to tell any stories they have of anything..well..weird..strange..creepy..errie..that has ever happened to themwotever you like...ghostscreepiesgoblinspoltergiestsbeing chased by a carton of milkthe bank actually being open when you got thereeeeeeeeeeee!i think i've told my tales here a million times..sooo, time fer some new...BLOODmuhahahhahahafraggleThe propagandist's purpose is to make one set of people forget that certain othersets of people are human: Aldous HuxleyJonnie Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Guest guest
A vegetarian avoids products of slaughter - meat and fish, and odds and ends like gelatine, cochineal. A vegan avoids all animal products - as a veggie but also omitting dairy, eggs and honey. "the most devout Adventists are vegetarians, and consumption of coffee, tea, and alcohol are forbidden According to her, they "invented" being vegetarians but then you'd have had to have know her to know that kind of comment was the norm <g> http://www.purifymind.com/EllenWihte.htm I thought, having only known her, that all vegetarians lived on Loma Linda foods and stuff like vegemite. I never heard the fish thing until years later. And didn't hear about the ovo-lacto thingy until about 30 years ago at the Health and Harmony Fairs (have you been to them in Santa Rosa, Fraggle?). The kidlet calls herself "sorta" vegetarian because she eats cheese occasionally and once in a blue eats eggs. Lynda
Guest guest
Hi Jonnie > Thank you everyone for your answers on this confusing subject. I met someone recently who said she was a veggie, but she > eats fish and later she mentioned something else and so on. It almost seems that a veggie can mean whatever the person > who calls themselves by that name wants. Originally, the word vegetarian did mean someone who didn't eat any animal products at all. But by the 1940s, people who didn't eat meat and fish were calling themselves vegetarian... so Donald Watson created an organisation dedicated to promoting the concept of what the word had originally meant, and in order to avoid confusion came up with the word "vegan". Nowadays, it seems that people who eat fish have taken vegetarian a step further, and so vegetarians are starting to appropriate the word vegan for themselves!!!! :-( BB Peter

Guest guest
Um... I can't remember what we were talking about. I think I have alheimers but I can't remember.... Today is my middle daughter's birthday. We all went out to breakfast at a place my DH and I regularly go and my daughter felt special that Dan Marley stopped to wish her a happy birthday. She said she used to have quite a crush on him. Tonight we are going to the restaurant she chose. She was so sweet and did her homework to find stuff for each of us to eat.
