Guest guest
I have to agree and he wasn't a nice human either. That we know from knowing him personally. He just about destroyed California and the homeless problem here can be laid directly at his door. Iran-Contra is just the tip of the iceberg. Alfred E Newman's doppleganger is bad enough with his listening to voices but consulting a psychic over unsecured phonelines and discussing security issues with that same psychic on those same phonelines is just beyond stupid! The man was a menance and we are still paying by having the fools he " trained " in the background pulling the strings of the current puppet! If only the pretzel had worked a little better! Guest guest
i don't like him very much either he was one of the main architects of the whole banking deregulation fiasco back in the 80's the collapse of the S & L's rests heavily on his shoulders..but he was able to remake his image he helped delay any investigation of keatings lincoln bank for over two years...that bail out cost wot, almost $3 billion??!!! mccain was right there to help out his old friend, after denying he knew him(gee, then why did he get to fly out to keatings bahamas retreat? ) he also was an early cheerleader for the invasion of iraq..and only recently has been making a few noises about what we are doing there...tho he still thinks we need to send MORE troops in.... mccain thinks we need to teach creationsism in skools and so on... Guest guest
Too wishy washy. If he had stood up to Dumbya I'd have voted for him but he didn't. Instead he let Dumbya slander him and then went over and played nice nice. Plus we are still paying here for the whole banking and S & L b.s. what with Hurwitz raping the land and stealing the pensions.
