That is what I do. I am 1 1/2 hrs. from any of 3 major cities. We

travel at least once a month to one of them.

In the PNW you could check your local Cash & Carry -- might be listed as an

IGA Cash & Carry -- for the soba noodles -- I get them in a 4 pound pack, pre

cooked and just heat and eat. C & C is sort of like Costco without the card. I

shop at the one the Lacey area, I know there is one in Tukwila on Andover East

not far from the mall.

Give it a try.

I'm sorry I missed most of the discussion on this..

Soba noodle are GENERALLY found in any supermarket...in the PRODUCE section. If

you look close to where they have the Vegan foods in the produce area, you

should be able to find them. If not, REQUEST them.

Wal-Mart WILL be carrying them in the super-stores, as long as their is a

request for them.

Here in the pacific Northwest, most all of the stores have them...in 2 different

types of packages. One, is for a single serving, the other one is 2 packages in

one larger bag. I try to get a few of those each trip to the store and have

found that I can freeze them.

Hope is helps some.

I started buying the soba noodles at the Cash and Carry in Tukwila when I

lived in Seattle, then moved to Toledo and have to drive to the Oly area to do

decent food shopping. I am a paid in full member of the Olympia coop too. Neat

place to shop for sure.

Off to knit
