Guest guest
What about lentil meatballs and bean meatballs. Bet those would be fun to make instead Of turning them into burgers. Becky
Guest guest
I love Quorn, but now that someone said it might have eggs I may have to avoid it. Will actually have to read the label rather than take it for granted I guess! Guest guest
Thanks. I will check on Monday and see if they actually do carry it. If it is more than $10 I won't get it. Katie " Puterwitch " <puterwitch wrote: between 5 and 6 dollars ) - Katie M Friday, August 24, 2007 3:33 PM Re: How do I make meatballs? I checked and supposedly there is someplace to get it in Anchorage. That store is on the other side of the city, and notoriously expensive, but I will give it a try. Just for refference purposes, how much do you ususally pay for the Quorn Roast? Katie " Puterwitch " <puterwitch wrote: I LOVE Quorn! Quorn is actually a mushroom like fungus, but get that out of your head, it is great. it tastes exactly like turkey. I cook the roast according to package directions, eat some of it with mushroom gravy, and then I use the rest in recipes. I LOVE " chik'n salad " made with Quorn. I use vegenaise and a little garlic powder and some onion and celery and yumz! I use it in quesadillas and other foods that call for shopped chicken or turkey. I can't tell you enough how good it is. hugs, Chanda
Guest guest
Sometimes when things get too quiet I have to entertain myself. Sometimes my sense of humor is a bit much for other people. I am glad you enjoyed it. " wicked chuckel " here, too. Guest guest
I make meatballs using TVP and I call them TVP balls. Make up a tasty sauce using anything you like: I like chilli. Add dry TVP to the sauce and the TVP will soak up the flavour of the sauce. Add an egg to thicken (or leave out if you wish) Start adding flour in small amounts until mixture thickens and eventually you will get a mix that is not crumbly and will hold together well. You can fry them in a little oil or bake them in a pan in the oven. I use the same method to make hamburgers and I call those hamburgers. I use a different flavour for those; usually a vegetarian meaty one. Regards, Marshall
